On august 6th, 2017 nate grev broke into my shop with a crow bar (see picture below), changed the locks and stole my equipment, my business, my camper, my wife's car and most of my tools. he retained the phone number and used it to change many of my passwords by impersonating me which allowed him to edit my google business account and certain vendor accounts.
despite numerous requests our landlord would not let us back in even though our lease was current and paid in full.
we also called the sherburne county sheriff twice to report the break-in but they did nothing.
that day, i lost my business, my life savings and my income. my employees all lost their jobs.
ultimately, mr. grev got away with everything and fled to missouri with his family. BUt, not before fraudulently transferring what was left of my business to elite auto care.
the current business operating out of that location is elite auto care. they are still using some of my tools and equipment and the owner has failed to return it. in fact, he has failed to cooperate or communicate in any way. he has also lied to the authorities to protect grev's criminal actions and prevent me from recovering what i've lost.
despite originally lying to the police and then lying to the court in court documents and depositions...all under oath, grev ultimately admitted to breaking in, changing the locks and lying to the court...all under oath. because of this, on march 26, 2019 we received a judgement against grev's company. the judgement should have allowed us to recover the equipment we lost, but by then grev had fraudulently sold most of it. we found it cost prohibitive to recover the equipment and tools.
I'm sure the rumor mill came and went by now, but i wanted to take a minute to explain the situation and to thank the customers and vendors who put their trust in us and served us. we appreciate your business and service very much.
